Industrial
Industrial noise can affect the surrounding community as well as the health and wellbeing of workers.
An Environmental Noise Impact assessment is completed for new developments and equipment which may impact the surrouding community. Soundscape use modern noise modelling software to accurately predict your development's noise levels and ensure compliance with the relevent criteria. Details of the typical development application process can be found here.
The Work Health and Safety Act requires persons operating a business to conduct regular noise assessments to manage noise within the workplace and prevent hearing loss of employees. The noise assessment should:
- identify which workers are at risk of hearing loss
- determine which noise sources and processes are causing risk
- check existing control measures are working, and
- identify control measures to implement.
